Andrew Quilty
Photographe australien né en 1981, Andrew Quilty vit actuellement à Kaboul en Afghanistan.
La carrière de photographe d’Andrew Quilty a commencé à Sydney, en 2000, le jour où sa candidature à un stage photo universitaire a été rejetée. Il décida alors de partir sillonner l’Autoroute 1 en Australie avec un Nikon F3 que son oncle, également photographe, lui avait transmis. Le destin est intervenu une semaine après le début du voyage lorsque sa camionnette a été cambriolée. Tout a été volé, sauf son appareil photo bien caché et sa planche de surf qu’il utilisait à ce moment-là.
Après ce périple de 30 000 km, il entreprend un cursus en photographie au Sydney Institute of TAFE et dans le même temps, commence à travailler pour l’Australian Financial Review (AFR)…

As a Frenchman of Algerian origins, photography for Bruno Boudjelal is a lifestyle in which he endlessly questions his own identity and confronts us with our own.
When his father decided to return to Algeria, he went with him and began to uncover a country, a family, landscapes that spoke to him, a world scarred by violence and individuals whose conversations forced him to question his sense of self. Creating both a diary and testimony, Boudjelal travelled Algeria for ten years. He used both black and white and colour and became increasingly aware of his subjective point of view; one marked by his personal history but curious enough to bring daily life into perspective.
