Claude Pauquet
Originaire de Villiers-le-Bel et résidant dans le Poitou, il partage son travail entre Paris et le Centre-Ouest.
Claude Pauquet construit depuis vingt ans une œuvre attachée aux champs photographiques que sont le paysage et le portrait.
Il a publié en 2002 « Convoi vers l’Est et Retour », réflexion sur l’itinéraire de déportation de sa mère, du Fort de Romainville jusqu’à Auschwitz, Birkenau, Ravensbrück et Mauthausen.
Il a réalisé, de 2006 à 2011, des séries sur le littoral atlantique, les salons parisiens ( tourisme, police, érotisme, aviation…), le Général de Gaulle, le territoire sportif dans le Thouarsais ainsi qu’une série sur le marais Poitevin…

After dedicating himself to music, party and street reportage, Claude Pauquet now works with a medium format camera to explore his fascination for landscape identity, its transformation and the observation of the social territory. He has developed long term personal projects including documenting the landscape along national roads in France and a study of the Sanskrit language in southern India. He also completed a series along the French coastline between Hendaye and Bray-Dunes in addtion to publishing a book about the history of his mother’s deportation and journey from the Fort of Romainville to Auchwitz-Birkenau, Ravensruck and Mauthausen…
