20e jour de confinement. Heart Rock. Aujourd’hui j’ai rencontré une femme dans les bois qui m’a rappelé Frances McDormand. On a parlé pendant une vingtaine de minutes. Elle m’a parlé de ses chiens rescapés (elle leur parle en tchèque), des bois, et, à la fin de notre conversation, elle m’a confié qu’il y avait un étang d’eau fraîche non loin d’ici. « Ne le dites à personne ! » Il y a encore un mois, j’aurai été trop occupée pour m’arrêter et discuter.
Juste après notre rencontre, j’ai croisé un homme en ciré jaune qui lavait ses bâtons de ski et me salua lorsque je passai près de lui.

Day 20 of Confinement. Heart Rock. Met a woman in the woods today that reminded me of Frances McDormand. We talked for at least 20 m. She told me about her rescue dogs (she spoke Czech to them), about the woods, and, at the end of our conversation, she shared that there was a fresh water pond nearby. “Don’t tell anyone!” A month ago I would have been too busy to stop and talk. Just after that I saw an old man in yellow rain gear who waved his ski poles hello as I drove past. Grateful for small miracles.
